There is no memorial in Washington, DC, to the Forgotten Heroes of the Cold War, but there are many memorials to others. Those who lost their lives or liberty in Cold War operations deserve a Memorial of their own - Don't let them be forgotten! They are America's Forgotten Heroes who gave everything to keep America free!

Authorized by Act of Congress, PL 103-199, the Memorial honors the memory of the more than 100 million victims of communism. It is located near the United States Capitol (New Jersey Avenue at Massachusetts Ave).

Tomas Masaryk, Patriot and first President of Czechoslovakia

Tomas Masaryk Memorial Park is located on Embassy Row in Northwest Washington D.C., in the triangle formed by Massachusetts Avenue, 22nd Street and Q Street. Statue was authorized by U.S. Congress and President George W. Bush officially dedicated the Masaryk Memorial Park in 2002.

Don't let America's Heroes be forgotten. Participate in the May 1 annual observance of the National Day of Remembrance for Forgotten Heroes of the Cold War, and join the American Cold War Veterans' project to establish a National Memorial to these Brave Men and Women!
